Opportunity Details

Islamic Relief, in partnership with HAD, invites eligible local non-governmental organizations and associations in Aden to submit an Expression of Interest for participation in an integrated NGO Capacity Building Program.

The program aims to strengthen the institutional and technical capabilities of local organizations, enabling them to improve the quality of their services, manage programs more effectively, and promote transparency and accountability in their administrative policies and practices.

The project will add a number of local NGOs in Aden to the existing capacity-building program and provide them with practical training, mentoring, and institutional development support.

Capacity-Building Areas

The program will provide training and mentoring in the following areas:

Strategic Planning and Management
Program Management and Quality Assurance
Donor Relations and Partnership Development
Field Project Implementation and Operations Management
Financial Management
Advanced Institutional Development

Eligibility Criteria

Organizations applying to the program must meet the following requirements:

Official Registration
The organization must be officially registered with the relevant authorities in Aden.

Previous Capacity-Building Participation
The organization must not have participated in any capacity-building program with another entity during the previous three years.

Location
The organization’s headquarters or main activities must be based in Aden.

Previous Experience
The organization must have previous experience in implementing humanitarian or development projects.

Organizational Capacity
The organization must have a basic organizational structure and an active team.

Full Participation
The organization must commit to participating fully in all training and mentoring activities.

Application of Acquired Skills
The organization must be willing to apply the knowledge and skills acquired through the program within its activities and operations.

Application Requirements

Interested organizations must submit the following documents:

Completed Expression of Interest Form
A fully completed EOI application form.

Registration Certificate
A copy of the organization’s official registration certificate.

Organization Profile
A brief profile describing the organization, its work, and its areas of expertise.

Previous Projects
A list of projects implemented during the previous two years.

Organizational Structure
A copy of the organization’s current organizational structure.

Selection Process

Participating organizations will be selected through a transparent and competitive evaluation process consisting of the following stages:

1. Initial Screening
Applications will be reviewed to confirm compliance with the eligibility criteria and submission requirements.

2. Technical Evaluation
The organization’s capacity and needs will be assessed based on the submitted information.

3. Final Selection
The top five organizations will be selected based on readiness, level of need, and ability to benefit from the program.

4. Notification and Confirmation
Selected organizations will be notified and the program enrolment procedures will be completed.

Important Notes

Participation in the program is free of charge.

Selected organizations must attend all training and mentoring sessions.
