Tender Details

Direct Aid Society – Yemen Office invites qualified suppliers to submit bids for Local Public Tender No. DA\2026-69361 for the year 2026.

The tender covers the purchase, supply, installation, and commissioning of medical devices and equipment for three malnutrition treatment centers in the governorates of Al-Mahrah, Abyan, and Lahj.

The exact delivery locations are stated in Section Five of the tender documents, titled Delivery Schedule and Locations.

A tender fee of 15,000 Yemeni rials must be paid to the cashier at the Direct Aid office when submitting the wax-sealed envelope.

The bid will not be accepted if this fee is not paid.

Bid Submission Format

The bid must be submitted as one original and two copies in a closed envelope sealed with red wax.

The envelope must clearly state:

Name of the contracting entity
Project name
Tender number
Bidder’s name

The bid must remain valid for 90 days from the date of opening the envelopes.

Bid Guarantee

The bid must include a bank guarantee using the format specified in the tender documents.

Guarantee amount: USD 1,843
Amount in words: One thousand eight hundred and forty-three US dollars only
Validity: 90 days from the date of opening the envelopes

A certified payable cheque may be submitted instead of the bank guarantee.

Required Documents

The bid must include the following valid documents:

Commercial Registration
A copy of the valid registration and classification certificate or commercial registration.

Tax Documents
A copy of the valid sales tax registration certificate and tax card.

Insurance and Zakat Documents
A copy of the valid insurance card and zakat card covering the tender period.

Professional and Business Licences
A copy of the professional practice certificate and business premises licence.

Supplier Profile and Experience
A profile of the supplier, records of previous performance in supply, transportation, and distribution, copies of previous contracts, and other documents relevant to the tender.

Product Catalogues
Catalogues for the supplied medical devices and equipment, signed and stamped.

Implementation Schedule
A signed and stamped implementation schedule.

Technical Specifications
The bidder must complete the offered-specifications column in the Bills of Quantities for the medical devices, equipment, and furnishing components. The completed schedules must be signed and formally endorsed.

Currency and Payment

The bid must be submitted in US dollars.

Payment will also be made in US dollars to the account of the company or institution. Payments will not be made to personal accounts.

Award Notification and Objection Period

Direct Aid Society – Yemen Office will notify the successful bidder within a period not exceeding 30 days from the date of opening the envelopes.

All bidders will be granted 10 days to submit objections to the authorities specified by the applicable law and regulations.

The objection period begins from the date bidders are formally notified of the successful bidder’s name.

Important Notes

Direct Aid reserves the right to reject all or part of the submitted bids or cancel the tender at any time without assuming responsibility or obligation toward bidders.

The organization is not required to award the contract to the lowest-priced bidder.
